Istanbul

Istanbul, Turkey – 2010. Our first and last stop in Turkey was Istanbul. We stayed in a small hotel in the Sultanahmet area just a few hundred meters from the Blue Mosque. The hotel was nothing special but the location was great and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Sultanahmet is the “Old Town” area of Istanbul and is full of small hotels, good restaurants and most of the “tourist” things to see including the Topkapi Palace, Blue Mosque and Grand Bazaar.
